"Project Runway All Stars" Episode 102: A Blight At The Opera

On this week's All Stars, the designers are given 24 hrs. to create a ball gown for a night at the opera.

I've noticed a couple of things on this special edition of Project Runway. The shaving of the extra 30 minutes from the regular series makes it much more exciting and fast-paced, and the sense of urgency is back.

Also, I'm a bit disturbed that we haven't seen any real bitch-fests yet. There have been the usual "what is he/she/ thinking with that design?" whispering behind backs, but I want to see a Kenley freak-out or Gordana start channeling Latka from Taxi.

I still haven't warmed to the Bizarro World host and judges, but they're actually used sparingly, so they're now just a dull throb in my head when they're on screen.

So how did the designers do? Below and on the following pages you can see the final designs and how they fared.

Anthony Williams

Anthony was in the top three. I love the dress, it's daring and provocative ... but would anyone wear it to the opera?

April Johnson

Bottom two. Oh dear. This was awful. April went for broke with trying to dye it, and ended up busted. It looks like she fell into a septic tank.
