"90210" Recap: Trouble in Paradise

Let’s begin from the beginning. Remember how last week Teddy got married n everything in Vegas? And Silver accidentally sent his wedding tape to the election campaign of holier-than-thou St. Marissa (played by Brandi) ?

Alrighty then!

Also, since 3 of my favorite (and I’m using ‘favorite’ very loosely here) storylines on 90210 are directly related, I’m gonna go ahead and lay ‘em all down.

In the Teddyverse, Teddy, Shane and Silver toast to the end of campaigning and the final days of the election. Teddy is glad everything is “just the way it should be” with Shane and Silver by his side, his family talking to him again and his Congressman uncle on the road to win. (Foreshadowing!) He and Shane decide to revisit the good old days of Barcelona, because they haven’t had their honeymoon yet.

Everything is basically great, until a Breaking News bulletin shows “Republican Congressman Montgomery’s nephew indulging in a gay wedding in Vegas” - appropriately costing Teddy’s uncle his conservative votes.

Teddy blows up and blames the campaign manager, Shane, for leaking the tape. When Shane protests, he says he has no reason to doubt his buddy Silver. And breaks up with him.

I can’t see Shane sad. All I can think about is cuddling up and consoling him.

Silver, suspecting foul play, and probably thinking someone stole her tapes and leaked them to the press, rushes home to discover her tapes intact, but soon realizes she was the one who accidentally sent the recordings as campaign footage.

She promptly goes to St. Marissa’s victory celebration and asks her to investigate the leak. Marissa, no longer a saint, accepts that she was the one who leaked the tape, because… as Sue Sylvester would say, “Winning is Poo-flinging.”

Seeing that her idol is no longer perfect, Silver decides to come clean to Teddy. I cannot see this going well.

In Un-Li-verse, Liam is now officially a model. (That youtube commercial sure was a hit!) So, some hot shot agent Sheila (who looks very familiar but I can’t place her anywhere) contacts him for some ad shoots. After proposing a romance novel cover "Conquest for Desire” and other inappropriate products, she finally settles for a cologne ad. This involves race cars, and adrenaline junkie Liam agrees.

But he is in for a rude shock, when agent Sheila mentions in very strict terms that his contract does not allow him to do anything besides take his shirt off and pose naughtily, especially if it involves surfing, skiing, racing, riding a bike or walking. (No way!)

Ever rebellious, Liam goes surfing, nevertheless, where he is captured on camera by a bunch of Twihards fresh from ogling that shirtless werewolf Taylor Lautner. End result… agent Sheila is pissed and he gets a “babysitter”.

Ivy’s teacher Nick, who looks vaguely familiar.

In the third parallel universe, Surfer Chick Ivy and her husband Raj are back from his cancer treatment, when her photography teacher, Nick tells them of a photography exhibition-competition, and proposes she enter it.

Since Raj is responding well to the treatment, he suggests she too go for her dreams. And she does.

And this is where all the three universes, collide…
