Last Night's "Brothers & Sisters:" "Fathers Unknown"

If you were wondering about last night's Brothers & Sisters liveblog... our dear snicks had taken to his sickbed, all quivering and queasy, and was thus in no shape to watch and comment on last night's Walker family shenanigans.

Too bad, because he could have made serious hay with all the craziness that went down.

The show opens with Sarah breaking in a pair of Louboutins and trying to design a seating chart for her wedding. Good luck with that - in this clan you never know who is related to who at any given moment - much less who is talking to one another.

Luc comes in in a tight black tank top - which would be suitable backstage attire for Dancing with the Stars, but seems a little unlikely loungewear (even for a French artist slash underwear model.)

Sarah is her usual angsty self and vows that she's the only one who can bring Nora out of her funk since Brody's departure.

Speaking of Nora, over at the Walker mansion Justin has stopped in to check on her. She wants to go up to Fresno and confront Brody to find out why he left so suddenly. That gives Justin a pained, gastro-intestinal distress look (see below), and he finally blurts out that Brody lied about his blood type - he could be Sarah's father.

Nora decides that the best course of action is not to tell Sarah, but rather to perform a covert DNA test. On this show they should probably just go ahead buy those covert DNA test kits in bulk.

Over at Ojai Foods (oh wait - it's a radio station these days, isn't it?) Saul goes to visit Sarah and gives her something blue: a blue handkerchief that William Walker left a dry cleaning ticket for. Ye Gods, does dead William Walker always have to be reaching out from the grave to drop mysterious clues to various family intrigues? No doubt we'll discover this blue handkerchief is of major importance. Or at least nothing to sneeze at.

Sorry, that was a groaner I know, but I couldn't resist.

Saul uses the visit to broach the subject of a pre-nup and tells Sarah that William Walker would have advised her to sign one. Sarah puts her foot down. No pre-nup. Besides, I'm guessing Luke probably does well for himself as an artist slash underwear model. Maybe he's the one who should be demanding a pre-nup.

At Kevin and Scotty's, they are meeting with a lady private investigator about finding the missing surrogate Michelle and her mystery baby. They find out the child's name is Daniel and he would be about the right age to be their child.

Over at Sarah's house Saul manuevers Luc into a conversation about pre-nups. (Which is sort of crappy and totally not his place.) Says Luke, "What's a pre-nup?"

That's right Frenchy, feign total ignorance. Nora shows up with her hair all mussy. Is it just me or does Nora's hairdo always bear a direct correlation to her state of mind? I can imagine the hairdresser reading over the week's script: "Oh, I see it's another Walker paternity scandal. Somebody hand me the rat comb."

Nora is really just over to grab some of Sarah's DNA. Luc catches Nora sniffing around Sarah's hairbrush and other personal effects and calls Sarah. Sarah thinks her Mom is cracking up and vows to take her on a cruise before the wedding.
