"Thintervention" Recap 1.2: Jackie, Master of Cocktails and Bringer of Pain

I’m starting to wonder if the folks at Bravo made Thintervention so late on the schedule in order to curb gigantic dinner eating. For some reason, when I watch weight-loss shows, I become ravenously hungry. It’s as though I’m tring to make up for the calories I’m watching being burned.

Anywho, on with the show!

It’s week two and haters are still gon’ hate. The participants all seem to have PMS and are starting to sabotage themselves. The mean group (who is also the most interesting) continue to smack talk their fellow dieters instead of just concentrating on their own weight loss goals.

It doesn’t take long to get to some Jackie Wisdom: Muscle failure is the fastest way to get toned and spur growth.

In honor of this wisdom, Jackie works them harder than they’ve ever worked before. Nikki is hungover and may or may not still be drunk. She says she’ll try to power through but I see some barfing in her near future.

Bryan continues to be bitchy and says there are many other places he’d rather be than at the gym. Once again it seems like these people didn’t realize what the show was about when they signed on.

Jackie’s hot tamale man trainer, Craig, is training part of the group on the treadmills and when Stacy decides she wants to take a break, he turns into a tattle-talin’ Trixie. Meanwhile, she has what seems to be an asthma attack and can’t breathe. I can’t be certain this isn’t just the result of staring at Jackie’s abs.
