Celebrity Twitterwatch: Taking Some Time for Myself Edition

Dance obviously does a body good.

Here at Twitterwatch, we never sleep. We're always on the prowl for the latest from your favorite celebrities around the world. And it's a good thing because some of the best stuff comes when celebrities do take some time off for themselves, often on the opposite side of the world.

For example, a reader recently pointed out So You Think You Can Dance Australia's Season One runner up Rhys Bobridge. He's a dancer, he's a drag performer, he's an activist. And he looks good in a Speedo when he gets a spring day off. But like many of us, he doesn't necessarily function in the mornings.

Meanwhile, up in Vancouver, Eureka's Colin Ferguson is having trouble with the staff's new Xbox. I feel you, Colin. I can't play video games anymore. I long for the days of Atari, with a joystick and a single button. But as for this, well, I'm clumsy enough I don't think Microsoft's fancy new control system will help.

I'm waiting for Kinect - because I already know how to control my body.....less than a minute ago via web

I do enjoy my fictional characters on Twitter. And some of them take the summer off, just like the shows they're a part of. Homer Simpson had a goal this summer, but like many things in Homer's life, math gets in the way. It's always the math, isn't it? Why can't Homer ever win?

My summer goal was to eat my weight in hot dogs, but I failed. Every time I ate one, my weight went up. That’s cheating, hot dogs!less than a minute ago via HootSuite

Shared interests are great. It's even better when as an adult, you share them with your parents. My mom and I enjoy driving out to isolated state parks and looking at nature. DeGrassi: The Next Generation's Adamo Ruggerio also shares interests with him mom.

My mother just called me to remind me of the Sex and the City marathon. Like mother like son.less than a minute ago via mobile web

Adam Lambert has been taking his show throughout the Asia Pacific region, but I'm really glad he took time to enjoy the trip as well. Those are some of the most beautiful places in the world and I really enjoyed the time I spent there. But I didn't have a whole Eat Pray Love moment.

Bali vacation was a rebirth! Such a beautiful trip. My heart is full.less than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

Aussie comic Josh Thomas has been slowly adjusting to single life. He keeps finding new ways to entertain himself. Last week he was discussing hiring a hooker to play Monopoly with him. Now he's graduated to Sleaze Ball. Welcome to the big leagues, kid.

I went to 'Sleaze Ball.' I stood near the wall/bins looking at the 'sleaze.' I'm surprised how popular leather harnesses are.less than a minute ago via Twitterrific
