Just Released "Amazing Spider-Man" Trailer

Yesterday a bootleg version of the trailer for the new Spider-Man leaked. Now comes the official version. It' only been a decade since the previous one, but this is yet another telling of the Spidey origin story, with Andrew Garlfied taking over the red and blue tights from Tobey Maguire and Emma Stone in the female lead as blonde Gwen Stacy. (Mary Jane Watson apparently doesn't figure in the remake.)

Most of the trailer is pretty somber, with a dowdy Sally Field as Aunt May and no sign of supervillain The Lizard other than his altar ego Dr. Curt Connors played by Rhys Ifans.

However, the trailer takes flight, literally, towards the end when there's an extended aerial webslinging sequence shot from the vertiginous perspective of Spider-Man himself. Very cool.
