Tonight's "Happy Endings": The Cast Gives Their Take (Part 1)

In tonight's episode of ABC's Happy Endings, the gang readies for a visit from Dave's father, played by Michael McKean, who is also bringing his new lady friend, who just happens to be Penny's mother, returning guest star Megan Mullally. As you might expect, Dave (Zachary Knighton) and Penny (Casey Wilson) have different (and hilarious) reactions to the unexpected coupling. Also in the episode, Alex (Elisha Cuthbert) adopts a parrot that happens to have quite the racist/homophobic way of speaking and Max (Adam Pally) and Brad (Damon Wayans Jr.) are enlisted help her prove if the Chinese restaurant by Alex's store is truly a brothel.

AfterElton was on the Happy Endings set in Los Angeles during shooting of the "Meet The Parrots" episode. We sat down in Penny's apartment to chat with the cast (minus Pally, who was not working that day) and guest stars McKean and Mullally.
